Life is a journey...capture the moment.

About Me

My photo
I'm Christie Zink, wife, mother and owner of Elan Images. Although I had been a hobbyist for years and took photos for family and friends, the birth of my first son catapulted me into this wonderful adventure that is Elan Images. My approach to photography is relaxed, fun, and in the moment. Whether they be silly moments, contemplative moments, or tender moments. I aim for my images to be a glimpse of real life, capturing your family as they are right now; a reflection of their spirit and personality. In your life there will be some exceptional moments with memories to cherish for a lifetime. No matter what your style, I work together with you to ensure that these cherished images document the festive and intimate moments of these magical happenings.

Everybody was Kung Fu fighting...

Well, technically it was Tae Kwon Do and it was  not actually fighting.  What it was, was a group of amazing students from around the state competing in the 2nd Annual Regional Tae Kwon Do Tourney.  It was seriously nothing short of amazing and I am blessed that I was able to capture some of the awesomeness that took place.  Just take a look at what these kids can do...

Ms. Taylor is a Rockstar!

I may be slightly biased, but this little guy is pretty AWESOME!

Can you say...WOW!!

Ms. Mae never ceases to completely impress me!

And this I believe speaks for itself...crazy amazing!

Thank you Master Jen not only for an incredible event, but also for your commitment to all of your students and the tremendous impact you have on them.  You are an incredible teacher and mentor!

All smiles...

I have seen some happy babies, but this little guy is one of the happiest I have ever seen.  Not only did he have a crazy cute smile, he also has a beautiful sparkle in his eyes.

This is why I love photographing babies, just look at all of that sweetness!

A special thank you to Wyatt's mommy for allowing me to capture this little nugget!  He is certainly a precious addition to your already sweet family!!

Two peas in a pod...

In February, I had the tremendous joy of capturing Taytum and Piper in their first photo shoot.  They were so incredibly precious!

Now these adorable nuggets have just turned three months old and they just finished celebrating their very first Easter.  I cannot believe how much they have grown in this short time.  They have also certainly developed their own distinct personalities too...

Taytum, is definitely very laid back and loves to giggle.

Piper is the very serious and independent one.

Both of course are totally adorable and gorgeous!!

A Cherished Moment...

It is always such an honor when I am asked to photograph those extra special milestones and events that are such an important parts of our childhood.  To capture beautiful moments that will be treasured for years to come is really something I take great pleasure in.  Last weekend I had the opportunity to do just that as the 2nd grade class of our parish prepared to make their First Communion.  It was such a beautiful day and the children were incredibly excited for this rite of passage in their faith.  Thank you to the Immaculate Conception of New Munich and Sacred Heart of Freeport, for allowing me the pleasure to capture this special day.  He is just one of my favorites...

Wee...it is so fun to be Three!

One of the fringe benefits of being the photographer in the familiy is that I get to capture many of the special happenings of those the closest to me.  One of my favorite things it photographing my nieces and nephews, I have 22 of them now!  Each of them have their own distinct personality, which makes their photographs unique.  This is one of my younger nephews Mr. Eli, and he is a pistol!  I am not sure where he gets his energy from, but I can assure you he is always on the go and he is a ball of fire.  It is so hard to believe that he is already turning three.  It seems like yesterday that I was taking his newborn photos.  I remember his WILD hair!  Oh, how the time goes by.  Happy Birthday Elijah!

Then...
And Now.

A special little blessing...

I have several people in my life whom I admire for a variety of reasons.  My friend Vicki is one of them.
Vicki is an absolutely amazing mommy and I cannot tell you how thrilled I was for her when she told me that they were expecting their fourth child.  Koda is the baby that doctors said that she would never be able to have...he is a true miracle.  I loved seeing the boundless joy in his mommy's face when she held him, the love that flowed from her was so apparent and beautiful.    As for Koda, he was amazingly calm and easy going; I am not sure he ever fussed.  Some people say that is pure personality, and although I think that has something to do with it, I definitely believe that the parents should be able to take some credit.  I loved capturing this amazing little guy especially those special moment with his lovely mommy!  Congratulations Scott and Vicki, he is beautiful!
