At the end of October, I had the opportunity to co-host a fundraiser for Tripp Roth. If you do not know who Tripp is, I would encourage you to check out his mommy's blog "EB"ing a Mommy and read about his journey with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). EB is a rare genetic skin condition, those who suffer from it lack the anchors that keep the skin intact and attached. The slightest friction causes severe and painful blistering. While those with milder forms can live into adulthood, children like Tripp who have a more severe form often do not make it to their first birthday.
My time in Louisiana was AMAZING...I cannot even put into words how my life was changed. I was touched by so much kindness and love. All of the people who came together for Tripp was so awesome!
Here is a short video from our event:
So, what does this have to do with my photography business? Well, this particular event does not have anything to do with it per say, however Tripp Roth has a lot to do with it. I am excited to unveil a new project that I have just launched called This Little Light. Through this project, I am able to reach out to families who are facing life threatening or life altering circumstances and illness. I will offer each of these special clients a free session to capture "their little light shining" and provide them with a DVD of images as well as a print of their choice. I have added links to my site at www.elan-images.com and I have also created a Facebook Page called This Little Light and of course I have a blog that you can check out HERE. The blog is where I will share images and stories of all of the children and families I have the opportunity to photograph. This is an amazing opportunity and I am so honored to be able to touch lives in such a meaningful way...through art.
